Sothebys – Anatomy of an Artwork – Picasso: Nus Masculin
Sothebys is known the world over for its amazing auctions. In recent years they have leapt into social media promotion of their art, photography and antique sales.
This short piece was created to promote the sale of Picasso’s Nus Masculin, painted in 1942 during World War II when Picasso remained in Nazi-occupied Paris. With an estimate of between €2.5 to €3.2 million, the painting sold at auction for more than four million Euros.
